Seeking Web/Social Media Editor!

New Review of Film & Television Studies is hiring a Web/Social Media Editor to manage our growing online presence and public outreach. Our primary aim is to acquire a new team member who can build the NRFTS blog (launched 2020) in effective, innovative ways that amplify impact and enhance accessibility of both journal and supplementary content. Additional expectations for this position include ensuring efficient coordination of and consistent communication through NRFTS promotional channels, bolstering and finessing NRFTS brand and web optics, and generally mobilizing web- and social media-based means of supporting NRFTS authors and the media studies community we engage.

Desirable candidates will be emergent media studies scholars with a commitment to the mission of peer-reviewed journals and an interest in developing their scholarly profile by contributing service to the discipline. We seek candidates skilled in (preferably WordPress) website design and savvy about social media’s affordances for academic publishing. As this is a self-structured and entirely remote position, it requires exemplary organizational skills and time management, sharp attention to detail, and a high degree of self-initiative and accountability. We anticipate this being an ongoing position with the potential for renewal and/or promotion.
